A Few Baubles For Your Ears

Every now and then ....

I make jewelry.
It's another creative outlet for me and in this case, I get to use up scraps of watercolor paper.
You won't believe how light earrings can be when they are made from paper.

Here are some more.

And more.  These are made from little bitty buttons.

All these are made with hypoallergenic earwires.  The paper ones are sealed to make them somewhat water-proof.   They are all available at T.F. Rice & Co.

About My Jewelry

Several years ago I found another outlet for my creativity.  Making jewelry!

I'm a little bit of a hoarder so this also gives me an opportunity to use up all those scraps of watercolor paper, buttons,  old jewelry, metal and other doo dads that I just can't seem to throw away.

And because the jewelry is made from recycled items - it is usually unique and one of a kind  - just like the special women in your life.

You can find my jewelry locally at T.F. Rice & Co. where they are having an open house this Saturday, November 23rd.  Hope to see you there.

Button, Button, Who's Got The Button?

Dangly earrings made from tiny recycled
black buttons and red glass beads.
Each piece of my jewelry is a one-of-a-kind creation. Materials may include recycled paper, beads, repurposed vintage buttons, cloth, metal findings, and other doo dads. Designs on paper are hand-drawn or painted by me and sealed to make them moisture resistant.

Buttons are recycled vintage buttons, many from my Grandmother’s sewing basket. Some do show wear but I think it adds to the character of the jewelry.

You would never know these faux Emerald Green leaves were made from water color paper. Sealed to be water resistant and light as a feather.

Midnight Blue & Brass - These are actually made from heavy weight art paper,
sealed to be water resistant.   And feather light!

These vintage red buttons with clear glass beads would make a great Valentine present.

There are necklaces too with matching dangly earrings.
These are jade green with tiny little brass beads. Eye catching and fun to wear.

Fun, unique, one-of-a-kind.
You really need to see this jewelry in person to appreciate it.

New Jewelry

These pretty green leaves are hand painted by me on heavy watercolor paper and sealed to make them water-resistant.  Surprisingly light weight but sturdy.

Necklace and matching earrings made from vintage buttons from Grandma's button jar.

This pendant looks like marble - but it's not.  Visit my jewelry store and get the details.

Classic black and brass made from vintage buttons.

If you haven't visited my little store on Etsy, you should really take a peek. Here's the link:
